I am asking you the question: why should it matter?
We never talk about fixing the lack of representation of women working on oil rigs. We never talk about the lack of representation of women working on garbage trucks.

If there was some huge barrier to entry, then we could say, yes it’s good there are more female startup founders. But there’s not a big barrier to entry. If anything, everyone wants more female startup founders, so it’s significantly easier for them to get VC funding (and yes, I’ve seen this happen in startup incubators).
10 years ago there were big name female CEOs (Carly Fiorina at HP and Denise Morrison of Cambels come to mind), and back then when they made it, it meant something. If anything, it literally means less now due to subsidiaries to meet diversity goals, and well as men playing dressup and calming they represent women in those positions as well.
There are not a lot of people, men and women, in general who successfully start and maintain their own business. It’s pretty fucking hard stuff. Julia Gilard didn’t make it as a PM, and I don’t fault her. She was a stern bitch, and yet she wasn’t cutthroat enough to survive in Australian politics .. Margarete Thatcher did make it as a PM (and people can’t seem to shut up about it). But who do you think is likely happier in the end?
Why not appreciate people who make it, no matter who or what they are? What they happen to be born as is meaningless.
