@Suiseiseki I just wish there was someone who both thought IP is evil and needs to be destroyed and also thought guns are cool and supported self defense and carry laws
-
@galena @Suiseiseki I'm sure you can find a few lolberts like that.
-
@galena @Suiseiseki I remember Stephan Kinsella being super anti-IP, but there is a split on the subject.
-
@ArdainianRight @Suiseiseki a lot of lolberts support IP, for some incomprehensible reason. I have no idea why. I guess they think a government enforced monopoly to arrest anyone who dares "steal" an idea is a fundamental part of a free market without government intervention, somehow.

@ArdainianRight @Suiseiseki I like Kinsella a lot. Against Intellectual Property is something I've often recommended, since it has overall excellent arguments against the entire concept on IP, and I thought it was very compelling and helped shape or reinforce many of my views on it.

@galena @ArdainianRight @Suiseiseki A lot of lolberts are bootlicks whose entire moral framework is "does this make things easier for corpos"

@mrsaturday @ArdainianRight @Suiseiseki This is unfortunately very popular even in ancap spaces, with some mainstream ancaps basically saying "the billionaire elites pay more taxes than everyone else so they should get sole ownership over all public property and assets", completely ignoring that those billionaires literally only have any of the wealth and power they do through abusing the government to both empower themselves and prevent any competitors from challenging their monopolies. For every cent they pay in taxes, they get hundreds of dollars of protection from the government, stolen from all of the average joes who could even theoretically compete with them in an actual free market.
