   @minespatch I asked my mom one day about her love of Dateline, and she said that she liked to see criminals get caught and convicted.
   
   There won't be a single reason for this trends popularity, but our society's constant lack of justice and largess of injustice makes women scurry for a "happy ending" of past crimes that were caught and successfully convicted in court. The success in a smattering of cases gives an illusion that an essential institution of government still works for their safety sake, when the reality is far worse.
   
   That and, as there are too many unbelievers acting out anti-Christian culture, many women are probably doing demonically inverted hero worship when it comes to the high profile criminals.

     Why do women have a obsession with true crime stories???
     
     I like murder mysteries as the next person but my apophenia is telling me there's more to this pattern.
     Machismo repeated this.
