I find it impossible to have any comprehension of man's place in the universe without reference to the idea of God, that which is absolute, vast, and incomprehensible. The interpretation of such may be indifferent, capricious, benevolent, or hostile, it may be human or alien, it may be unified or divided, but it is inescapable. Even the Reddit Atheist conception of The Void is a reference to God, albeit the angstiest and gayest imaginable take on the concept. What is commonly understood as atheism is a rejection of the Christian, human conception of God, and it often distorts how we understand religions or philosophies outside of the popular Abrahamic monotheistic conception.

@Nesano Antitheism is a conception of God as a hostile entity. Nietzsche and Lovecraft are examples of expressing the concept in a cool manner, Redditors are just whiny fags who make everything they touch gay.
