@MechaSilvio @blockbot @Terry Here is the result as of today of the last 4 months of Wagner's advance in Bakhmut. They continue to advance even today. In 5 days, they will be replaced on the front by regular units.
Ukrainian forces launched a massive counterattack a few days ago and it's causing higher than normal casualties for Wagner, but Ukraine continues to lose ground despite that.
There's roughly 2.5 sq km left under Ukrainian control out of 50. Even with Prigozhin 's bitching about artillery cover, nothing about this is "losing", this is literally a textbook case of a unit needing to be rotated out to restore combat capability after a sustained offensive.
Considering Wagner was on the offensive against fortified positions despite being outnumbered at minimum 5 to 1, even their uptick in casualties the past few days has been remarkably low by historical standards.
