It might be too much sugar. Blackberries might be a better fit (equal parts sugar to fiber). My dogs each have certain things their guts don't handle that well. Our golden (Penny) doesn't handle red meat very well, but the Akita (Kuma) could eat it every day and be completely content. Pork and chicken are pretty safe, but I try to avoid feeding Kuma too much turkey because he has seizures and I have learned that turkey's high tryptophan content might actually aggravate his condition. My LSG (Sofia) can eat pretty much anything, but she has a tendency to fill up on chicken feed which leads her to spoil her appetite. -
