@realcaseyrollins@mk well you might have some luck buying xmr for cash on https://localmonero.co/nojs/, but otherwise you'll likely need to buy some btc or eth to get monero because you can't just pick it up at one of the popular centralized exchanges. No KYC exchanges support it that I am aware of. You can buy btc for usd and exchange it for xmr within bisq, but unfortunately you can't just buy xmr with usd directly through there.
@thatguyoverthere The price wasn't very good on localmonero last time I checked. I was looking at the pay-by-cash options though. Maybe it's cheaper if you use an online method, but then that's not very private. @mk@realcaseyrollins
@Hyolobrika@mk@realcaseyrollins yeah I've never actually used it, but when I have looked the prices are usually a bit higher than market. If localmonero is anything like bisq you might be able to make an offer to buy xmr and set your own over/under limit on the market price. i've gotten 3 - 5% off of several bitcoin transactions on bisq this way, but when you browse the other offers other people are doing that too so accepting an offer would probably mean paying over market
