Oh no my grandmas hip is broken
-
@parker @ai @hidden happened to my other grandma but she was lonely and depressed and refused treatment, she basically wanted to die at that point. It was sudden.
-
@hidden @ai Ah Jesus that's rough. All I can wish is that she suffers as little as possible, for the least amount of time possible.
-
@hidden Damn, I hope she gets good care. Even if she wants to die, it must be incredibly painful to let an injury just fester like that.
No MAID for the old is a class example of the people in charge caring about appearances rather than real concerns. The euthanasia debate has always been "bUt WhAt If oLd pEoPlE aRe pReSsUrEd tO dIe???" so the solution clearly is to ban it for old people and pressure the young people to die. "The npcs will never see it coming!!'
Is she still clear-minded these days?
-
@ai No, that's why she can't get it. She doesn't recognise anyone, can't bathe, can't take her meds, can't turn on the tv, can't flush the toilet, can't cook, can't read. She can walk but there's nothing in her head anymore. She's anorexic so she'll probably live a few more years.
-
@hidden Recent fall?
-
@ai Yeah this morning. She refuses to go to a nursing home or get care at home but the doctor said he's going to make her so we'll see what happens. She's been begging for death for a long time but MAID only kills young healthy people so
-
@PhenomX6 @ai @hidden Yeah, that's how it was with my grandma too. She went senile, and lingered, and made sure the nurses paid for it (since she always hated other women). My grandpa, he just keeled over one day and that was that.
