I think it's always fascinating to see where the lines get drawn for these sort of "unprincipled exceptions".
You will *never* see a leftist invoke these sort of appeals to personal responsibility except in cases like this (child molestation). They would never say about a black man, "he should have complied with police". They would never say a homeless person should just "go to a shelter", etc.

What does this tell you? To a leftist, the ability for trannies to freely molest children overrides any other principle of social justice.
