I wonder how much the total juxtaposition between the accessibility of Trump/JD versus Kamala mattered. Trump and JD both fully embraced podcasts. Kamala largely hid and walked around in a highly controlled bubble where reality need not apply. Specifically the line "10 years of Trump", as if implying Trump has been president for the last 10 years. It's bizarre and deranged.
