     @professionalbigot69 If you want the optimistic take then it depends on the mission. I wouldn't freak about a bedside gun being heavy if it's me using it, the weight can be handy when you're pumped with adrenaline at 3 am

     But a moving gun? ehhhhhh. Might be down to barrel profile, too. If you're not planning on laying down a lot of fire in the heat then you don't necessarily need an HB chunk profile all the way down the bore

     @professionalbigot69 It's all about the mission. I just hate socom barrels, bothers me seeing a bunch of pointless cuts that serve no other purpose than being milspec. Seems like the metal fatigues all weird because of it, too, but it's "MILSPEC" so...

     I'm a sucker for spiral fluting, too, but I like stuff optimized for hot climates.

     i like the concept of taper profiles. should be more common
