I keep seeing videos of burnt out wheeled vehicles non tank vehicles all over Kursk. Did the Ukrainians just did their whole invasion on wheels without tanks? Seems a bit unorthodox and costly.

@cough They had some heavy armor but not much, and a lot has been chewed up.
Air support has been gone for a while.
They brought some precious AD systems with them and managed to take out a Russian Ka-52 and maybe a couple of other aircraft but those BUKs are gone now as well
Basically this was a Hail Mary to try to grab control of a Russian nuclear plant and . . . I don't know. Profit? Losing sides in a war do crazy things.

@cough They're having a rough go of it, videos coming out are not pleasant, when you don't have air support shit sucks

@TrevorGoodchild they gone in no tanks no air? That seems too stupid to be real.

@TrevorGoodchild @cough One theory I’ve heard on Telegram (Sasha Kots actually posted it this morning) is that most of the remaining Leopard tanks and the F-16s will be used for an attack on Crimea through the Enerhodar NPP/Zaporizhzhya region. Kursk is being used to divert Russian reserves.
It certainly sounds like something the Ukies would do. They’re losing the attritional battle pretty noticeably at this point so these Hail Marys are there last options

@cough They're losing all their fortifications in the Donbass as we speak. It's not pretty.

@TrevorGoodchild figure they are using all their tanks and F-14s and doing the big game changers. Wonder if this effects their defensive lines elsewhere.
