@supersid333 Was it Villains Are Destined to Die? She grumbles about shit and doesn't realize a lot of the good things she has until near the end of the story, but she works really hard.
@Kyonko802 I need to find that one villainous story I was reading that was near it's end. It also did a good job of making the MC work for redemption too.
@supersid333 you should. I won't go into too much detail but I really wish there was a VN like the one thats represented in the story. It would be really interesting to read.
@Kyonko802 Nah it was a different one. Main thing I remember is that the main character was sickly in the original world and her character was overweight and horrible until she took control and turned the charaxter's life around.
@Kyonko802 That being said I'll take you up on your suggestion for now regardless. I've seen this one before in passing, I'll take it as a sign I should read it
@poopernova@supersid333 she has so many self deprecating woman moments it verges kn hilarious. Even in the epilogue of the LN she has a really hard time believing her brothers care about her and it takes a few years for her to completely open up to her family
@poopernova@Kyonko802 I think it was relevant for a few chapters, I did end up getting sidetracked reading one where it was only the case for the setup (An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess)
The general plot of the one I was looking for was that she was engaged to the prince, and she spends the series trying to plot her very gentle (half?-)sister to take over the engagment while she helps her (again half I think) brother overturn the bad business decisions running their parent's domain to ruin.
Story was cute because both the Prince and the MC clearly liked each other, but the MC was plotting against herself and the Prince was constantly misunderstood because he was bad at getting his feelings across.
@poopernova@Kyonko802 That one I mentioned in the parenthesis is funny, the mc isn't cut out to be a villain in the slightest and it's uniquely written from the perspective of the prince himself. There's kind of a running joke where she starts talking heavily in VN terms and he just nods along because he thinks its cute when she babbles on about it.
@Giganova8@supersid333@Kyonko802 Yeah that one is also great, seeing the main girl trying to be as much of a villian as possible, then completely failing is funny. It also ended with a pretty good ending and there's even a sequel of them being married :flan_yea:
@supersid333@Kyonko802 Oh good, really don't like the art in that one, and there was an especially freaky scene where the main girl's fat just melts off and never gets mentioned again.
@LolikingSama@supersid333@Kyonko802@poopernova Is it finished? I remember reading it when she and the Wild Prince type trope got stuck in the wilderness, I dropped it because it was so slow to translate.
@supersid333@LolikingSama@poopernova I like how she gets so caught up in how the game worked that she never stops to think about how weird it is for Penelope to be so hated, and that people wouldn't just randomly kill her. Her knowledge of the game actually startlingly cripples her progress with her family, which isn't how it's usually done.
@LolikingSama@Kyonko802@poopernova I think it was genuinely a really good decision by the author to make the chick who isekai'd into the setting someone who grew up in similar circumstances to the villainess she's replacing.
