since video game democracy is over fedi at the moment, i will post my personal favorite video game girls.
1) Felicia (Darkstalkers)
Probably the purest of her game's cast, Felicia is a kind and cute catgirl. She wants to be an actor, though later in life she returns to her childhood roots and becomes a nun, looking after lost children like she once was. Her energy and mannerisms make her my go-to in Darkstalkers and matches of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and my friends now fear her name :holo_laugh:
2) Kochiya Sanae
Touhou's a hard franchise to pick favorites for, but as a Mountain of Faith player I like Sanae the best. She has a great theme, challenging mid-boss and boss fights, and her design is a really cool and cute take on the miko archetype that Reimu also embodies. She's the isekai protagonist of Touhou and her desire to enter a world of fantasy and myth is a very relatable aspect of her character.
3) Konoko (Oni)
Oni is a game from Bungie's older days, but still a fun action title to this day. The protagonist is Konoko, an agent for the TCTF and a girl of mysterious origins. She's agile, strong, and skilled in combat, with a dash of cockiness with the dedicated taunt button. She's a great application of the cyberpunk protagonist archetype.
4) Striker (DnF Duel)
Not many people have played DnF Duel, which is a shame; made by the people behind UMvC3, it's a fun fighting game especially for casual matches. It also has an excellent cast, one example being Striker. I haven't played her story yet, but Striker is a strong and confident fighter with a desire for challenge and well-earned victories. That combined with her excellent costume puts her in the favorites for me.
5) Ayane (DoA)
A character in both Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive, Ayane has an excellent design of violet hair with striking red eyes. I'm not as familiar with her as the others, as I'm somewhat new to Team Ninja's projects, but from a completely design-wise perspective I already consider her a top-tier girl.
