   It's actually hilarious just how profoundly fucked this country is long term and I think this current AI bubble is perfectly indicative of it. A bubble started entirely by OpenAI, a company that has now made itself utterly indispensable to the entire tech industry while being so routinely unprofitable that it needs regular cash injections from Microsoft and other companies just to stave off bankruptcy for another year. All while scraping the entire internet for diminishing returns to its AI models, with the end goal of building an AI that is smart enough that they can ask it how to make a return on investment.
   
   The fact that a company this obviously doomed can manage to become as powerful as Google in not even a quarter of Googles total existence as a company is a damning indictment not just on our current economic system, but is a daunting look behind the curtain of how this entire circus is being run now.

     The west has drifted so far beyond a market economy it's a joke at this point. It's basically a soviet command economy now, complete with section ape commieblocks and airliners that routinely crash.
