   Here's the thing, there is one consistent throughline, through all the realignments, for both the GOP and Democrats. The Democrats have always been the side that's practiced aggressive patronage politics to promote the interests of their constituents, whereas the Republican Party has always prided itself on its moral superiority. I want aggressive patronage politics for straight white Christian males in line with what the Dems were in the 19th Century, not any of this gay moralfagging about being "for everybody" while putting your most loyal supporters last.
