     @Ronnie21093 Not much. Especially on idle since it will just spin down the drives.
     Also Unraid runs on just about everything so you can use a low power CPU if you like.
     
     You can grab the trail version and play around with it on an old machine.

     @Spooke The plan is to keep a 1tb sata drive with windows 10 for my chink gacha games as a fallback.
     
     Come to think of it that will involve having to take out my GPU just to take out the NVME drives off my mobo because the windows installer STILL does that shitty thing of dumping its bootloader on other drives.

     @Ronnie21093 Unraid is paid software mind you. For me it was the cheaper option since i had a bunch of differant sized drives laying around already and TrueNAS does not really allow you to mix and match drives while unraid does.
     
     Unraid is also more userfriendly which is nice.

     @Spooke The only old pc i got with a SATA bay is an ancient laptop that does not support UEFI.
     
     Maybe i can get away with just disabling the NVME drives in the BIOS. Gonna have to try that tomorrow. :tamamo_think:

     @Tamamo couldn't you just use an old pc with a sata drive slot to install windows on and then move the windows drive over?
