A lot of #email today is not "proper open source #federation" either but I don't see anyone bashing it at the level #Bluesky gets. Perhaps because email is one of the dominant communication systems we have right now. :sagume_think:

If anything I'd say BS/#ATProto is much closer to email as we know it today in a way than the #ActivityPub #fediverse right now. :seija_coffee:
