   @synapsid These girls don’t notice time slipping away, they always hold on to this vague hope that some new form on the horizon will present them with the right option and their life will finally begin for real. You’ll ask why they’re single and she’ll say “yeah there aren’t any guys at school”, not realizing there aren’t any dudes in the “Elementary Education” major. She’ll say “maybe next semester I’ll have more, I should have a full course load (she lies) so there should be more guys then”.

   She wakes up one day and realizes she’s 26 and graduating soon, then thinks “ah, I’ll meet a guy when I start my career!”. In many ways they’re just like we are, asleep at the wheel until they’re shaken out of it by the blaring truck horn of oncoming traffic (turning 30)
