1932, Blackburn released the B2. It had all of 120 horsepower, leading edge slots on the upper wing, and ailerons on the lower for nifty handling at low speeds. Ultimately, the government didn’t bite, so the only cutomers ended up being civilian flying schools….until the war, when many were brought into the fold as adjuncts for the RAF.
