This car is like a “hard-drive on wheels” This vehicle does not have telematics, but DOES store personal data, making this car like a "hard-drive on wheels." Like a hard drive, this vehicle may store personal information in it (see Vehicle Privacy Label™ for details). People with physical access to this vehicle may be able to upload, modify, or download this personal information. Most vehicles do not encrypt locally stored Personal Information nor require authentication (beyond having a key or otherwise powering the vehicle). To prevent this Personal Information to be exposed to unauthorized parties, it is important that the Personal Information is deleted when vehicles change hands, including when sold, traded in, returned at the end of a lease, or after each rental/carsharing/loaner/courtesy vehicle return.
