>I did it again
Just like last year and even though I'm cutting/recomping and tracking everything down to the last calorie, something funny has happened. First 2 weeks of the diet- no change in weight (as it should be), 3rd week which just finished- gained 7 lbs in 7 days even though what I'm eating has stayed the exact same in terms of calories and I've been lifting every single day (increasing in volume/intensity over the weeks) in that time period. I think this is muscle memory kicking in and all the nutrients going straight to the muscle as my arms, shoulders, etc. feel a lot fuller and thicker lately. I guess it takes 2 weeks for your body to get used to the fact that you're re-entering serious training mode and in that 3rd week it finally adapts by storing all the water and glycogen in the muscle so you have a constant local reserve of energy that you can utilize daily.
